Overview

The Senior Business Analyst position serves to stop non-value-added manual work across front office functions. As a liaison between the business process owners and users combining the technical or process solutions. This role is expected to ensure agreed upon requirements are captured and documented before solutions are designed/implemented and that final solutions meet business objectives. A key focus will be to focus on day to day business process gaps or inefficiencies. Responsibilities

  • Lead the elicitation process, navigating the competing needs of multiple stakeholder groups, defining and documenting an end-to-end business process that is accepted by all groups, and mapping out technical or other requirements to support the needs and the process.
  • Play a major role in analyzing business systems and practices to identify improvement opportunities and to determine when deactivation or replacement are required.
  • Identify current and future state business processes helping business stakeholders envision the future and how their work will change to support the future.
  • Provide references for users by creating/maintaining user documentation, providing ongoing process support, and training users.
  • Define project requirements by defining project charters, identifying project milestones, phases, and elements, form/lead project teams, and establishing and managing project budgets.
  • Cultivate and maintain client relationships at multiple levels to foster adoption and satisfaction.
  • Prepare and present process summaries to communicate the financial and operation impact of proposed changes.

Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • 10+ years industry experience preferred.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively at all levels of an organization in both written and oral forms and at varying degrees of detail. This includes writing reports, presenting findings, and facilitating group sessions.
  • Strong business acumen. Ability to identify business needs, expectations, and requirements for technology-based solutions in the areas being supported.
  • Must possess exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
  • Demonstrated skills regarding influence, persuasion, communication, and change management.
  • Understanding of databases, data warehouses, SQL and SQL jobs is a plus
  • Competency in Microsoft Office applications and MS Project is required.
  • Strong NAVision ERP experience required.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree required, Master Degree is preferred.
  • Must have functional understanding of business processes and detailed knowledge of systems and applications.
  • Must demonstrate keen problem-solving skills, ability to deal with complex situations and recommend a course of action in addition to analyzing and interpreting data to arrive at business solutions.
  • Experience in designing mock ups, writing test scripts, and data modeling is required.
  • Experience in CPG, Supply Chain, Software implementations a plus.
