This position responsible for the cleaning and sanitizing of processing equipment and lines. Works in a supervisory capacity overseeing work of sanitation team. Supervising all aspects of the shift’s sanitation team members. This includes full responsibility for sanitation and oversight of other areas of third shift operations including warehouse, bakery, and maintenance. Supervisor is Responsible for understanding and proper handling of emergency actions on third shift. The Supervisor supervises and coordinates all activities of production as it relates to output, quality and efficiency. The Supervisor is also responsible for enforcing all rules set forth by Palermo’s, USDA and OSHA.
Review, implement, and enforces Company policies and procedures related to operations area including
Education: A minimum of an Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two –year College or technical school
A minimum of 3 years of experience in a USDA facility is required or equivalent of education and experience in a manufacturing production environment with specific experience managing sanitation processes.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Mechanical background is a plus.
Additional Skills: Basic computer skills including prior work on a CMMS system and in Microsoft Office. Bi-lingual Spanish/English capabilities a plus.
